Perseverance

After decades of self doubt, I have finally shed my fears and inhibitions and am putting that energy into learning how to use some of the amazing technology available to me.  For years I have been content to depend on my brilliant husband and techno-proficient kids to get me through all my computer related crises.  It has been, however, an incredible source of frustration for me to have my ineptness constantly spotlighted, and recently the resulting sense of helplessness has motivated me to take control.  I have always had the conviction that I could do anything if I needed or wanted to bad enough and this project was no exception.  In the past two weeks, I have taught myself how to take decent pictures and how to upload them and manage them on my computer. Even more amazingly, I have created and launched a website for my Wanderware venture and have even enjoyed some sales in this first week.  I am truly more an artist-person than a business-person, but I have bravely stepped out of my comfort zone and am experiencing incredible personal growth through this process.  I am  empowered and excited for what lies ahead!

I warmly invite you to visit my Wanderware site at www.chriseisenberg.artspan.com to view my collection and I look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions.  Adventures are always good for the soul and I appreciate you being a part of this adventure with me!

"From this hour I ordain myself loos'd of limits and imaginary lines. Going where I list, my own master, total and absolute. Listening to others, and considering well what they say. Pausing, searching, receiving, contemplating. Gently but with undeniable will, divesting myself of the holds that would hold me."  ~ Walt Whitman

My wanderware website will be up and running by the end of this week.   I will post the link and you all are invited!

Genesis

This is one adventure that chose me and my resistance was definitely futile.  I have always been captivated by the potential of making something significant out of next to nothing, but I never imagined the immense power of tiny colored glass beads.  Initially I was intrigued with the delicate intricacy of the designs and was content to appreciate other artist's work from a distance.  Eventually, however, my curiosity got the best of me and I began experimenting to determine if I had any personal artistry in this medium. I have been captive ever since.

The most profound influence on my work is my love of adventure, particularly as it relates to everything water: swimming, scuba diving, sailing.  In my designs I seek to capture the memories and feelings of these experiences through color, shape, flow and symbolism.  When I am between adventures, I have found that having a beautiful and tangible reminder of the memories I hold in my heart is very powerful, motivating and sustaining.

And so it is from this very humble beginning, with the love of my family and the encouragement of friends and clients, I begin this new and very unique adventure that I am calling wanderware.  I will be posting pictures and descriptions of my designs as they become available both here and on my Facebook site.  Contact me if anything catches your eye or if you have comments and suggestions.  I am also happy to do special orders if you have a memory that you would like captured in wanderware.
